The outbreak and rapid spread of Covid-19 highlights the need for renewed attention and increased vigilance as massage practitioners return to practice.
Read on for more information regarding my new protocol.
Clean facilities, proper practitioner hygiene, procedures to ensure client safety, and disease prevention protocols have long been a cornerstone of the massage + bodywork practice.
My practice follows Practice Guidelines recommended by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
I've implemented these changes to help protect my clients and myself. For example:
• I will communicate with you beforehand to obtain updates to your health information and ask you specifically about potential exposure to COVID-19.
• I’ll ask you of you have developed any symptoms of illness since we’ve last spoken. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness.
• My treatment room is outfitted with an air purifier.
I look forward to seeing you and am happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps I take to keep you, and every client, safe in my practice.
Thank you for your support,
